Wilderness beach is pounded relentlessly by the Indian Ocean waves crashing against rocks whilst the serpentine river runs through reed beds below the Oteniqua mountains. Townships are densly populated by coloured populations in the Cape whilst in Natal small traditional rural villages can be found nestled in the sun burnt grasslands. On the Vaal River near Parys white water rafting gives tourist adrenelin rushes and thrills and spills. A peaceful wall in a salt water pond reflects the last rays of the suns light.
