My name is Mel Beasley LRPS and I'm a freelance Photographer based in Gillingham in Dorset. I have an ONC in Audio/Visual Art and Design and ten years experience as a photographer.

My services

I am available for wedding photography, home or studio portraiture and commercial work. I can arrange to take photo's of any subject the buyer requires. If the buyer is a recognised charity, I will on my discretion work for free, claiming only travel expenses and cost of film, processing etc.

I also run a course for novice photographers who want to improve the photos that they take at home. The course runs over 10 weeks (One day a week) and covers the basics, film speeds, aperture and shutter speed and how they relate to each other, composition, black and white and use of colour. Shooting a better portrait, using a model and Landscape photography. I work on a one to one basis with a maximum of 5 students. The course is flexible and can be tailored to the individual's needs.

I can work with digital images, 35mm or medium format. My images can be supplied as a digital file on CD, or printed out up to A4 size from home. Larger sizes can be made available on request. I can scan in an image at up to 4000 ppi and can alter the image to suit the customer's requirements without any increase in charge. In certain cases I can send the original negative or transparency but this will be at a higher cost to compensate for possible missed sales.
