Restrictions on use explained

Photographers supply their images in good faith such that the images are not to be used in any way or context that might demean or libel the model(s) or photographer.

Beyond this, licenses or circumstances may restrict the use of certain photos in certain sectors. For example:

• a reserved rights license may already have been established to advertise a product in Europe. Another license may image may be purchased anywhere (including Europe) to use the image anywhere on other continents other than Europe.
• images of recognisable people that are not supported by model releases should not be used for commercial purposes (eg in advertising) or in an editorial context that may cause offense or demean the model (eg suggesting that the models are at a speed dating event when factually they were simply drinking in a bar).

All buyers should request copies of model releases should there be any doubt on the matter or in circumstances where the use of the image may in any way be unusual or controversial.
