Why sell fine art photography at Photoconnect?

Photoconnect is primarily a stock photography site but nevertheless provides the photographer who wishes to sell fine art photography with a new outlet. More and more people own quality photo printers and electronic transfer of a reasonably sized file gives them the opportunity to print directly. Alternatively you should be prepared (and may prefer) to provide archive quality inkjet or conventional prints.

A further option is available because we allow you to link your work to a third party such as CafePress who can complete the sale and collect proceeds for you.

Many photographs that make excellent stock will never sell as fine art. The converse however is often the case as advertisers in particular seek original and abstract images to feature in their campaigns. And the fact is that prices for advertising use of images are excellent! So consider the potential for stock sales of your images - we give you the option to do both.

An index of fine art photography images for sale has been set up here. Inclusion in this index is at present at the discretion of Photoconnect. All pages appear in the stock index and should you wish to have a photographers' home page then this provides an ideal platform for you to promote your own fine art images.

In accepting content, we try not set the agenda for what constitutes fine art. We are broad minded but the nature of the contract with our host prohibits the display of what they consider to be 'erotica or pornography' so please check with us before submitting more challenging images.

Please be aware that any use without permission will be charged at a minimum at the full market rate applicable to a traditionally licensed image. No volume discounts or other incentives shall be applicable in calculating this rate. Further, if you use without permission you accept that damages will be payable should the value of future or current earnings of an image be adversely affected and you also accept that fair time and other costs of recovering amounts due should be payable.
